July 3rd River Level Update

Today the Kicking Horse River is flowing at 78.8 !

We have been running the Lower Canyon all week, and enjoying it's Class 4+ thrills.

The Kicking Horse River runs at either High Water, Medium Water, or Low Water.

High Water = 81 +

Medium Water = 77 - 80.9

Low Water: 77 & Less

In High Water, many of the waves and features on the Kicking Horse River get bigger, and a couple rapids do flush out. In High Water the Lower Canyon section is closed to all commericial rafting.

In Medium Water, the Lower Canyon is open, and the rapids are fantastic

In Low Water, the Lower Canyon is open, and the water is a fantastic emerald green colour. There are still Class 3, 4 and 4+ thrills to be had a all river levels.
