I did a little digging into what makes a good adventure story. It's pretty simple, actually:
Characters - On the Kicking Horse, there are no shortage of Characters! From James Hector Founder of Kicking Horse River who discovered the Kicking Horse Pass to the abundant supply of 'furry' wildlife heritage (BigHorn Sheep, Mule Deer, Whitetail Deer and the elusive Mountain Goat)
Plot - This plot is a turbulent one! The longest stretch of commercially rafted Class IV + in North America for starters. Throw in some Catrafting - the most unique Whitewater experience in the Canadian Rockies and the fact that the Kicking Horse River boasts BC/Alberta's Biggest Whitewater Thrills. The plot is churning 24 hours a day!
- Action - ummmm...see above!
- Proper attention to detail - If there's one thing that Alpine Rafting does right - it sure would be attention to detail. From our fleet of eye-popping candy red rafts to our selection of trips; the folks at Alpine Rafting run a tight show.

- Dialogue The Adventure Story of the Kicking Horse River sure starts out with dialogue...as we meander on the upper sections of the Kicking Horse River in Yoho National Park on the section of River known as the Family Whitewater. Quite honestly, as the pace picks up on the Middle Canyon and Lower Canyon the dialogue drops right off as whitewater faceshots - one after the other - are as common as seeing a cowboy hat in Calgary.
